Blakie + Britt traces its origins to a Hawthorn legal practice established during the 1970s by solicitor Conradina Edith Joyce Blakie. The practice operated for many years from 785 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn, under the leadership of Michael Britt until his retirement in 2011. In May 2012, Blakie + Britt merged with Parke Lawyers.
The Blakie + Britt name and its longstanding client relationships continue through Parke Lawyers under the guidance of Jim Parke, former Mayor of Boroondara and Accredited Specialist in Commercial Law.
